Background
CARB is developing several freight actions to clean up the
existing truck fleet. The goal is to transition truck and bus fleets to zero-emissions
by 2045 everywhere feasible and significantly earlier for certain market
segments such as drayage applications. Some of CARB’s current truck-related
efforts include:
- Advanced Clean Fleets (including Drayage Trucks)
- Heavy-Duty Inspection and Maintenance Program
- Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus
- Advanced Clean Trucks
- Zero-Emission Transport Refrigeration Units
- Zero-Emission Powertrain Certification
Please come and share your input on how CARB can better address
your community concerns and priorities. Submit any specific questions on trucks
or any upcoming regulations to freight@arb.ca.gov.
