Adaptation Planning and Extreme Heat Application Workshops, Research Grant and OPR Jobs!

  The Governor's Office of Planning and Research (OPR) is the State of California's lead land use planning charting California's future, with a focus on community development, climate resilience, and equity. $9.5M Available for Climate Adaptation Planning Grants – Virtual Workshops and Office Hours  Integrated Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program staff have made a second round of funding available through the Adaptation Planning Grant. The first step to applying is filling out the Pre-Application Interest Form . Visit the Adaptation Planning Grant webpage to sign up for a virtual workshop or office hour and learn more.  “We are excited to launch CommunityHub 2.0: a new interactive tool to stay up to date with the AB 617 Community Air Protection Program.” We are launching CommunityHub 2.0! This new platform offers community members, program partners, and members of the public thorough insight into the AB617 Community Air Protection Program (CAPP or Program), featuring intuitive data visualizations, user-friendly mapping tools, interactive dashboards, and more. Assembly Bill 617 (AB 617) aims to reduce exposure to air pollution and preserve public health by placing community voices at the heart of decision making. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) established the Program to work with communities, air districts, and other agencies to reduce exposure in the communities most impacted by air pollution.
