Launch of CommunityHub2.0

“We are excited to launch CommunityHub 2.0: a new interactive tool to stay up to date with the AB 617 Community Air Protection Program.”

We are launching CommunityHub 2.0! This new platform offers community members, program partners, and members of the public thorough insight into the AB617 Community Air Protection Program (CAPP or Program), featuring intuitive data visualizations, user-friendly mapping tools, interactive dashboards, and more.

Assembly Bill 617 (AB 617) aims to reduce exposure to air pollution and preserve public health by placing community voices at the heart of decision making. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) established the Program to work with communities, air districts, and other agencies to reduce exposure in the communities most impacted by air pollution.

CARB staff are focused on centering and addressing community voices and priorities at every step of the process.

What’s new in 2.0?

Building on the foundation of the original CommunityHub platform OCAP created in 2021, version 2.0 incorporates new features and information derived from community feedback and conversations with program partners where users can

  • Dive into strategies and actions from Community Emissions Reduction Programs developed and implemented by communities and Air Districts across California using the Strategies and Actions Library.

  • Learn about Community Air Protection Communities and the many projects being funded across the state to reduce air pollution and build community capacity from Community Air Protection incentives projects to Community Air Grants with enhanced mapping tools.

  • Download data such as community boundaries, detailed funding data, and resources on AB 617 Community Air Protection Consistently Nominated Communities.

We want to hear from you.

We are eager to hear from you and continuously improve the CommunityHub2.0 and provide tools and resources to empower community voices and support program needs. Please send any feedback, questions, comments, and suggestions to: CommunityAir@arb.ca.gov
