Background

Transportation options can significantly impact the health and well-being of Californians, along with affecting people’s ability to affordably, safely, and equitably get where they need to go. The transportation sector is also the largest emitter of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission in California, accounting for more than 40 percent of all emissions. As such, State transportation planning and investments not only present an opportunity to promote public health and advance equity, but also play a critical role in meeting State targets for reducing GHG emissions.

An agenda and additional details are forthcoming, and will be posted.
