The SAFER Summer Series is a series of virtual events explaining the SAFER drinking water program, how the SAFER program can help your community, and how you can get involved.   You’ll also have the opportunity to share your thoughts, concerns, and questions with SAFER program staff.   The California Air Resources Board (CARB ) invites you to participate in a remote-access workshop on the forthcoming solicitation for the Community Air Grants Program (Air Grants Program) application period. CARB staff has released a  2021 Timeline for Community Air Grant Program  to assist applicants in preparing for the upcoming solicitation.  The following are eligible to apply for a Community Air Grants: 1) A California community-based organization holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code 2) A California organization, not affiliated with a local, municipal, city, county, or state governmental agency or entity, and holding a tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as the Grantee, in partnership with a California community-based organization without Section 501(c)(3) status designated as a sub-grantee, and 3) A California Native American Tribe.  For the purposes of this grant, this includes all Federally

  This session of the US EPA (federal)’s Environmental Justice (EJ) and Systemic Racism Speaker Series will focus on California EPA’s (CalEPA) Pollution and Prejudice Project. CalEPA is a leader among government agencies advancing environmental justice. At CalEPA, understanding the role of government in perpetuating institutional and structural racism is essential to its work. Through the  Pollution and Prejudice project, CalEPA's racial equity team designed a set of tools to explore the connection between racist land use practices of the 1930s and the persistence of environmental injustice. Understanding how environmental conditions are informed by legacy land use practices helps CalEPA to ensure equitable access to clean air, water, and land for all Californians through policy development and implementation.     CARB Freight Days The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to participate in the Transportation and Toxics Division’s (TTD) Freight Days. Come join staff to discuss TTD’s Freight programs and regulations and share your input and concerns to help inform future programs and regulation development. Meeting Information The event will be split into two evening sessions and cover facility types that may affect you and your community. These include seaports, warehouses, railyards, airports and border crossings.
