Environmental Justice Analyst
Job Description and Duties
Working under the supervision of the Career Executive Assignment B, in the the Environmental Justice (EJ), the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) will provide clerical and analytical work in one or more areas of a broad range of special projects, including grant programs. Incumbent will perform work of average difficulty in a wide variety of consultative and analytical staff services assignments such as program planning and implement. Incumbent may also represent CARB in California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) environmental justice meetings and other joint operations with CalEPA Boards, Departments, and Offices, speak before internal and external groups, answer inquiries, and prepare reports and correspondence.

Equity Analyst
Job Description and Duties
The Air Pollution Specialist (APS) will assist the Executive Office, Officer for Environmental Justice, with establishing and implementing a broad, well-integrated environmental justice vision into CARB’s policies and programs. The overall scope of the position will include serving as a liaison to CARB divisions, coordinating community engagement throughout CARB, and assisting divisions in developing and implementing internal environmental justice policies and programs.
The APS Coordinate within CARB and with external governmental agencies to implement and promote CARB environmental justice program efforts. Efficiently and effectively coordinate EJ efforts and programs across divisions and clearly communicate program status and outcomes internally and externally. Work independently and in teams to establish policies, procedures, and tools that will help prioritize EJ principles and ensure program information and project data are transparent, accurate, and easily understood.
