SACRAMENTO – Senator Connie M. Leyva (D-Chino) issued the statement below following her appointment to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) by the Senate Rules Committee:

“Since I was sworn into the Senate over six years ago, I have been proud to have a solid record in strong support of the environment, healthy communities, clean air and safe water.  In this important capacity as a member of the California Air Resources Board, I look forward to continue fighting to improve the health and quality of life for residents across the Inland Empire and California.  All Californians—regardless of where they may live—deserve to live in communities free from air pollution or other environmental toxins.  I am excited for this opportunity as a CARB member to continue being a strong voice for residents and communities across our state.”
