Job Description and Duties
Under general supervision of the Recycling Specialist III (Supervisory) in the Certification Unit, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will perform complex technical professional work associated with the certification and registration of participants in the Beverage Container Recycling Program (BCRP) of CalRecycle. This includes completing assignments related to new certification/registration applicants and active certified/registered entities.
The AGPA is required to travel to field offices. This may include overnight travel; however, it is estimated that this travel should not exceed 15 percent of time.
Bilingual-Spanish preferred. Willing to hire at the SSA level, duties will be adjusted accordingly.

Staff Services Analyst - Bilingual Spanish - Final Filing Date: 8/5/2021
Job Description and Duties
Do you enjoy working with business entities and assisting them in understanding government program regulations and educating them on how to certify for a program? The Certification Unit of CalRecycle’s Division of Recycling is looking for an Staff Services Analyst (SSA) to independently perform the less complex technical work associated with certification and registration of participants in the Beverage Container Recycling Program (BCRP).
We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, tact and professionalism. This position will leverage your excellent analytical and research skills to certify the less complex applications for certification/registration submitted by operators of recycling centers, processors, drop-off or collection, community service, and curbside programs for operation in the BCRP.
Bilingual-Spanish is preferred.
