NOAA Urban Heat Island Initiative

The 2022 Urban Heat Island mapping campaigns involve community members and scientists mapping the hottest areas of their communities to learn where action is needed to protect vulnerable populations now and in the future.

EPA’s Life-Cycle Analysis to Support Cost-Effective Enhanced Aquifer Recharge

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of its Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program, is seeking applications proposing research to develop cost-benefit tools to support Enhanced Aquifer Recharge (EAR) as a viable, safe, and cost-effective water management strategy.

The Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration grant program seeks to develop community capacity to sustain local natural resources for future generations by providing modest financial assistance to diverse local partnerships focused on improving water quality, watersheds and the species and habitats they support.
