Public Briefing: Understanding Air Quality Trends in Richmond-San Pablo, California

On December 15, at 5:30pm PT join PSE Healthy Energy for a briefing on new air quality research in California's Richmond-San Pablo region.

Participants will learn about trends in air quality observed by the Richmond Air Monitoring Network - a dense network of air quality monitors located throughout Richmond, North Richmond, and San Pablo in the East Bay. Scientists will discuss what the trends in air pollution mean for the community, which is home to many sources of air pollution, including oil and gas facilities, high volumes of traffic, large and small industrial facilities, and port and freight activities.

The Richmond Air Monitoring Network project was done in partnership between PSE Healthy Energy, the Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN), and University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley). The project was supported through the Community Air Protection Program, a California Climate Investments program which was created with the passage of Assembly Bill 617.
