Public Workshop on January 24, 2023 Development of a Potential Zero-Emission Forklift Regulation

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to participate in a public workshop webinar to discuss the development of a potential regulatory measure that would require fleets to replace their propane and gasoline forklifts with battery-electric or fuel-cell electric versions.

This measure is expected to lower emissions of toxic substances and greenhouse gases, and its provisions could benefit disadvantaged communities, especially those with many warehouses and high concentrations of forklift use. We encourage community group involvement in the rulemaking process so that we can better understand how this regulation could impact California communities, and how to best adjust the proposed regulation’s requirements to maximize its benefits.

No previous involvement in this process is needed and we strongly support the participation of newcomers.
