The Foundation for California Community Colleges, in
partnership with the California Workforce Development Board, is pleased to
announce the RFA release for up to $22.7M in available grant funding
through the AB 628 Breaking Barriers to Employment Initiative.
Overview: The purpose of the
initiative is to provide individuals with barriers to employment the
services they need to enter, participate in, and complete workforce
preparation, training, and education programs aligned with regional labor
market need through innovative approaches to addressing racial, ethnic, and
socioeconomic disparities.
Eligibility: Community-based
organizations and local workforce development boards are eligible as lead
applicants.

under the Funding Opportunities tab. Applications are due Friday,
September 2, 2022.
